In acknowledgment of Employee-Ownership Month, we are pleased to highlight distinguished AVIAN employee-owners and share their valuable insights within the context of an employee-owned organization.

We are privileged to introduce (ret.) U.S. Navy Senior Chief Aviation Electrician’s Mate, Aaron Sly, who has recently joined AVIAN as a Program Analyst since August 2025.

Although Aaron is a new addition to our team, he has already adopted the employee-owner mentality and recognizes the positive influence it can wield on both employees and the organization.

Today we are highlighting employee-owner (ret.) U.S. Marine Corps Lt.Col., Rich Davidson, who has been onboard AVIAN as a Senior Analyst since 2017.

Many AVIAN employees may recognize Rich’s name because he is the “Timesheet Reminder Guy” even though his formal role in the company has nothing to do with Timesheets.

Celebrating Employee-Ownership Month!🎉

At a successful employee-owned company, each employee has a specific role, but everybody has the same job.

What does that mean, and what distinguishes the two?

Each employee’s role encompasses the individual responsibilities they carry out for the team. The common job, however, is to do whatever it takes to support the team's success, bridge gaps, and find creative solutions together.

At AVIAN, we value both. We understand that when everyone performs their role at a high level and also commits to the job, we achieve great things together. It’s our employee-owner mindset.

As George Franz, President of AVIAN, states: “At AVIAN, we work as a team; we take care of each other; and together, we find a way.”
