Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

If you don’t have yours yet, there’s no better time to start collecting our Year of the Bee pollinator ID cards. Each card highlights a different local bee species, with fun facts and a handy keychain design so you can build your set (all five!) as you explore.

🌎 Earth Day (earlier this spring)

Each card reveals something unique about the species… but you’ll have to pick them up in person to read it. 🤭

It’s the perfect day for pups to cool off in the pond at Canine Meadow Dog Park—big splashes, wet paws and nonstop tail wags included. Let the season of splash zoomies begin! 💦

As a reminder, the pond is tested and treated for bacteria regularly to ensure the water is safe for pets.

Ever wish you could explore the trails without hiking? 🌿

Our Trail Cart Discovery Tours make it possible! 🚎 Just climb aboard and enjoy a guided nature tour at a relaxed pace—great for individuals with limited mobility. 🌼

Spots are limited and fill fast. Registration opens Monday (4/20) at 8 am for Lake County residents; open registration begins Thursday (4/23) at 8 am if space remains.

Summer camp season is coming up fast, and we need some extra helping hands to make it happen! 🖐️

We’re searching for fun and energetic volunteers (ages 12–17) to help with a wide range of summer day camps across Lake Metroparks, including:

🎣 Fishing Expeditions Camp
🩴 Explore the Beach Camp
🎨 Art in Nature Camp
🏰 Fairytale Farm Camp
🏕️ Backcountry Adventure Camp
