Thank you so much to everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday! 🎉🧡🧡 34 feels like it’s going to be a good one.
Throw back to my fire pit era. I don’t know if you all know this because I think I shielded it from the public due to embarrassment, but this is the EXEMPLAR of my neuroses….. I hand.washed. every.pebble. that went back onto that fire pit. EVERY PEBBLE. I try to reduce and reuse as much as possible for sustainable and economic reasons, and sometimes that takes a big time and labor commitment. You can see in the third photo all the dirt and grass filled pebbles that I shoveled off the top of what used to be an above ground pool spot. Yep- I washed all of that. I put a scoop of it at a time into a regular sized spaghetti colander and sifted water through it until it was clean. 🤪 Sure! I could have put down a weed barrier and put the cleanest bit of pebbles back over it without any washing, but momma’s bougie and determined, and I wanted it to look brand new without wasting the pebbles that were already there. 🤷‍♀️ I reused the rinse water and redistributed the dirt to fill in holes and level out bumps throughout the yard. Total W if ya ask me. #firepit #homeproject #homeimprovement

I’m not much of a paddle boarder, to be honest. I sit down the whole time and the whole time I think about how I wish I was in a sit on top kayak cause I’d go faster, but this was such a fun day! Always love a casual stroll around Summersville Lake.
