A Tucson man was arrested on domestic violence and drug charges last month after his wife reported he had kidnapped their 5-year-old daughter from a Green Valley hotel. Deputies found the man and child walking on the shoulder of Interstate 19 after a two-hour search, and later found cocaine in his pocket at the jail.

A Sahuarita Police Department sergeant has pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor endangerment after a Marana shooting-range incident put a grandmother and her grandson in harm's way. Sgt. Aaron Medina, who could face up to three years of probation or six months in jail on each count, is scheduled to be sentenced July 2.

A warmer winter caused rattlesnakes to emerge early this year, and Roy and Roger's Rattlesnake and Toad Avoidance Training for Dogs has spent 21 years preparing pets and owners for potential encounters. A Phoenix man who illegally took possession of a Green Valley home valued at $340,000 was sentenced Monday to two years of probation. Brice Payne pleaded guilty to criminal trespass after being found at the home, where he claimed he could eventually become the owner by paying the property taxes and maintaining the yard.
