Our 25-day countdown officially begins this Tuesday, September 8, but we wanted to share it a little early so everyone has time to look it over, save the schedule, and decide how they would like to participate.

Over the 25 days leading up to conference, we’ll revisit all 32 talks from the April 2026 General Conference. Most days include one talk, with two talks on a few days so we can make our way through the entire conference before October 3.

Read, watch, or listen—whatever works best for you. Even a few minutes spent remembering the messages we received can help prepare our hearts to hear what the Lord wants to teach us next.

🏔️🏛️ Temple of the Week: Salt Lake Temple

Dedicated by President Wilford Woodruff on April 6, 1893, the Salt Lake Temple was the fourth dedicated temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its construction took 40 years, and today its distinctive spires make it one of the most recognized temples in the world.

One of our favorite details? The exterior is filled with meaningful symbolism carved into the stone. Earthstones, moonstones, sunstones, stars, clouds, clasped hands, and even the Big Dipper represent our journey through mortality and point us toward Jesus Christ and our heavenly home. ✨

And now, for the first time in more than a century, visitors will soon have the opportunity to step inside this historic house of the Lord! Following years of restoration and seismic strengthening, the Salt Lake Temple Celebration and public open house will run from April 5 through October 1, 2027.

🏛️✨ Temple of the Week: Kirtland Temple

Dedicated by the Prophet Joseph Smith on March 27, 1836, the Kirtland Temple was the first temple erected in this dispensation and holds a remarkable place in the history of the Restoration.

One of our favorite things about this temple? The incredible events that happened within its walls. 🤍 Just one week after its dedication, on April 3, 1836, Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery and declared that He had accepted the house. Moses, Elias, and Elijah then appeared and restored sacred priesthood keys—including the sealing keys that make it possible for families to be united eternally.

The early Saints built this beautiful “House of the Lord” during a time of great poverty and sacrifice, filling it with intricate woodwork, tiered pulpits, and carefully crafted details as they gave their very best to the Lord.

And in a remarkable modern chapter of its history, the Kirtland Temple returned to the ownership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in March 2024, after 144 years under the careful stewardship of Community of Christ. 🤍
